Eye Palming

Also eye palming helps to relax the whole body.

Rest your elbows comfortably and then cover your eyes with your cupped palms. Breathe deeply and slowly in this position for a few minutes. Make sure your back is relaxed and straight during the whole process. Do this several times a day.

Oil Pulling

Oil pulling which involves swishing oil around the mouth is an age old practice. It is done basically to reduce the amount of harmful bacteria in the mouth. This in turn helps strengthen the teeth and gums, reduces plaque, and relieves bad breath. Plus, oil pulling also helps to remove harmful toxins from the face, nasal cavity, and pharynx.

For oil pulling, you can use coconut oil or sesame oil. Swish one tablespoon of oil of your choice around in your mouth for 15 – 20 minutes. Spit it out and rinse your mouth with water. Do oil pulling daily in the morning before brushing your teeth.

Tongue Scraping

Just like brushing your daily in the morning is important, so does tongue scraping. During night, while you sleep, bacteria gather on the surface of the tongue. With tongue scraping you can remove those bacteria. Plus you will be benefitted by fresher breath, less plaque buildup, and healthier gums. Also it will improve your taste buds.

Get a metal scrapper from the market. After brushing your teeth, gently glide the scraper from the back of the tongue to the tip, then along the sides. Repeat a few times. Make sure to rinse the scraper between each swipe.

Foot Massage

Feet are linked to all the organs and hormones in the body through different nerves, pressure points, and lymph nodes. When you massage their feet with warm oil for five to ten minutes daily before going to bed helps to stimulate blood circulation, reduce fatigue, treat headaches and improve sleep.

Before going to bed, wash your feet properly with warm water, and pat dry with a towel. Now, warm some olive oil or coconut oil and then using brisk strokes, start massaging from the top of the foot to the sole. Then massage the other foot. Once done you will feel more relaxed and help you to sleep better.

Nasal Cleansing

Nasal cleansing with the help of a neti pot is very useful for people with sinus issues, allergies, or congestion. This is a process where salt water is flushed up to one nostril and removed out from the other nostril. This helps to keep your nasal passage free from bacteria, germs, pollen, mucus, and everyday environmental irritants.

Prepare a solution by adding one teaspoon salt and one-forth teaspoon baking soda in a neti pot filled with three-fourth cup of warm distilled or filtered water. Bend forward, lean your head to the left, and pour the water into the right nostril. Allow the water to spill out of your left nostril. Repeat on the other side.
